THE NEGATIVE
A project about utilizing positive and negative space while re-creating movie posters of 3 specific movies.
Research into movie poster design is essential as well as great planning before illustrating the posters (which I learned the hard way).
Important elements for movie posters are movie title, billing credit and actors/actress names.
My process involved watching the movies, completing research, drawing sketches and then the design started. (Mistake made, I did not account for the text to be added to illustrations, lesson learned).
Special thought had gone into the font choices, ensuring legibility and keeping in line with the movie genre.
